Lily fell in love with journalism, media, and storytelling at a young age. In elementary school, she worked for her school’s video broadcast of morning announcements. In middle school, she took every class possible from Mr. Chelli and ended her middle school career leading morning announcements, being head editor of the yearbook, posting on social media, and helping with all things at the Creekside New Bureau. In high school, she took newspaper and TV classes before Expressenz led her to Mays Entertainment. Under the guidance of Matt Mays, her love for this world blossomed through many production assistant and video editing jobs. She is currently a Creative Media major at The University of Alabama, continuing to grow her knowledge and love for this passion. In school, she has had the opportunity to work behind the scenes for countless performances and has developed a new love for lighting design and production stemming from Professor Lyndell McDonald.
